1. Will I be able to edit simple things on my site?

Yes, if you want and if you get your site with lunar pages (LUNAR PAGES) they have an html editor that allows you to edit pages in design view, so you dont have to know html to make simple changes. Design view means a window opens up and you see the page just as it is on the net. You use that editor to make changes and then save. I do caution people that if they choose to do their own updates, I may not be able to easily troubleshoot any problems and will have to restore the site to the last version.

2. What do you charge to update?

My fees are $20 an hour.

3. What do I need to do to get a site started?

Email me by clicking on contact button above. You will need a 50% deposit. You will need web space you can get that by clicking the lunar pages link above. I will credit you one free hour of my time for hosting with Lunar Pages and if you get your domain name thru them you will get a free domain for life.

You will also need your images and text you wish to have on your site. We can discuss design. If you have a design look that you have seen on the internet somewhere that you like let me know so I have an idea of what you are looking for.

4. Do you put in paypal links?

Yes I can put in paypal links for your items for sale.PayPal makes everything easy the vendor can use the PayPal shopping cart without any additional programming, and including the Buy now buttons is easy. This way the buyer only has their credit card info, not the website owner.

5. Can I have newsletter sign up form?

Yes I can create a simple form to submit a sign up whether for a newsletter or to simply build a mailing list of potential customers. Even if you just want to email people when you have new work available.

6. How long will it take for my site to appear in search engines?

It could take a couple of weeks. Your site will be submitted when it is complete and then search engines
can take up to 2-3 weeks before they spider you site and you start seeing it appear in searches.

7. Why is a good website important?

It will give you 24 hour exposure to the world. It can be your catalog of your work, or items for sale, you can hand out business cards with your web address, promote yourself in other ways as you now will have a permanent place on the internet. It is also important to have your own web domain such as www.yourname.com which will help in building name recognition as you promote your work or your site.

8. How do I pay?

I accept checks by postal mail or payment by paypal.

9. How long will it take to complete my site?

It can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks. This depends on getting the images and text , picking the design and setting up the pages. The better contact we have when exchanging information the quicker it will go.

10.What format should my images be in?
I can work from any type of digital images. Most likely you will have .tiff or .jpg files. There’s an additional fee to scan 35mm prints or hardcopy.

Your digital images should be as large as possible. I will crop them (if required), as well as resize and sharpen them to create the thumbnail and large versions. I can always reduce the image but I can't enlarge it if you send images that are too small. I can also do minimal retouching of images including removing backgrounds.

Its much easier to work from electronic files, text can be sent via cd or email.

11.I have a site that I’m not really happy with. Can you work with those files and redesign it?
